Art and crafts, pond dipping and exploring are among the activities on offer for children in Barnsley during next week’s half term.
As part of its latest exhibition ‘From Mr Benn to Miffy’, The Cooper Gallery will host a number of workshops, which all incorporate a storytelling theme, for children aged between two and 12.
For those who prefer the outdoors a treasure hunt will be held at Worsbrough Mill on Monday, May 25 and there will be pond dipping there on Wednesday, May 27.
At Cannon Hall Museum, Park and Gardens free creative activities, including kite building, will be on offer.
Councillor Roy Miller, of Barnsley Council, said: “Barnsley is a great place to visit for a family day out. During the half term there will be lots of interesting things to do at Barnsley Musuems that children of all ages will enjoy”
