LANDOWNERS and community groups in South Yorkshire are being offered help with conservation projects by an environmental volunteering charity.
The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, based in Doncaster, works across the county carrying out a range of tasks on nature reserves, allotments, schools, community gardens and green spaces.
Tasks include drystone walling, tree felling and planting, as well as construction of benches and gates - and the charity says it needs more projects to work on.
Each project is overseen by a management team and carried out by volunteers of different ages, ability and backgrounds.
BTCV charges for its services, to fund other projects.
