COMEDY fans will be laughing if they win today’s top prize – a chance for FOUR people to go backstage to meet TV funnyman John Bishop.

Our winner and three guests will also get tickets to see his UK Arena Tour 2012 at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena on Sunday, October 28.

And the prize also includes a signed DVD.

He’s performed to over 400,000 fans in a nationwide sell-out tour, topped the charts with the fastest selling stand-up DVD of all time last year and regularly broadcasting into the homes of over 6.5m viewers in primetime BBC One show John Bishop’s Britain.

But the public clearly haven’t seen enough of the devoted Liverpool fan, vegetarian and Labour supporter, who tells a good tale.

The comedy superstar, a former Liverpool Radio City DJ, has added a third date in Sheffield, just a week after tickets for a second night went on sale.

Bishop will now play the Motorpoint Arena on Friday, Saturday and the additional date Sunday, October 26, 27 and 28, 2012.

His new DVD, John Bishop Live – The Sunshine Tour, was filmed live at the Echo arena on the last night of his sell-out tour.

It follows the success of his first release, Elvis Has Left the Building, which was the fastest-selling debut stand-up DVD ever.

Birthday boy Bishop turns 45 on Wednesday, November 30.

Born in Liverpool, he is married with three teenage sons and started out as a pharmaceutical salesman, with a company car and a pension plan.

Fortunately for the rest of us, he gave it all up to be a full-time comedian.

His material is drawn from life experiences, including fatherhood; cycling around the world; playing semi-professional football and working as a nightclub doorman.

In 2010 he was a celebrity guest team captain on What Do Kids Know? along with Rufus Hound, Joe Swash and Sara Cox on Watch. He has also appeared on BBC’s Mock the Week, and Radio 4’s Act Your Age.
