BOBSLEIGH champion Nicola Minichiello has become one of the first people in Sheffield to ‘put her affairs in order’ for St Luke’s Hospice Will Month taking place throughout April.
Nicola, aged 34, from Sheffield admits even though she spent nine years competing in a highly dangerous sport, she never thought about a will.
“But when I retired from the sport last year I knew it was time to reflect on my life and put in place some of the things everybody needs to do,” she said. “Or, as my grandmother is always telling me, it’s time to grow up!”
Nicola was helped by solicitor Martin Sissons at Sheffield law firm Simpson Sissons and Brooke, which is supporting St Luke’s Hospice Will Month – a partnership between St Luke’s and eight law firms across Sheffield.
A participating solicitor will draw up a basic will for a suggested donation to St Luke’s of £50 for a single will, £90 for a joint will or £40 for a straightforward amendment to an existing will.
