Pupils gathered around the campfire for story-telling sessions to round off a special day of literacy studies at a Sheffield primary school.
Children’s author Conrad Burdekin was the special guest at Bradway Primary’s event, which featured writing workshops and poetry.
But the highlight came in the evening when parents and children gathered around fires in the grounds to listen to stories both new and old.
The event was delayed from the summer to create a better atmosphere.
