When Disney-inspired girl band Misstasia were planning their semi-final performance on Britain’s Got Talent they knew just where to turn for their fairytale hair accessories.

The four-piece each chose hand-made jewelled headpieces created by South Yorkshire bridal accessories designer Debbie Carlisle to complement their princess prom style dresses on Friday night’s live semi-final.

The girls missed out on the final despite a good response to their version of ‘Let It Go’ from Disney’s Frozen movie.

Debbie, who designs and makes headpieces from her Sheffield city centre studios on Exchange Street, originally created the hair accessories worn by Misstasia for brides to wear on their wedding day.

Her designs were spotted by the stylists who worked on Misstasia’s semi-final look – who thought they were perfect for the performance.

Debbie said: “I’m more used to designing for brides – which I absolutely love – but it was very exciting to be asked to make headpieces for a girl band who would be wearing them on national TV in front of an audience of millions!

“The girls messaged me to say they hope to have some gigs soon and plan to wear their accessories again.”
