It’s been a colourful time at St James’ Church in Woodhouse.
Hog roasts, tea parties, sing-a-longs and bouncy castles were all on the agenda as the church opened its doors to the community, for a four-day flower festival and garden party.
“We’ve had a fantastic few days, with beautiful flowers, great food and great community spirit,” said the Rev Dave Gough.
“This event was all about blessing the community and it’s a fitting tribute to them that every time we hold this event it gets bigger and better.”
Hundreds of people turned up to take part in the summer celebrations that included a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and a special Songs of Praise event, led by the Woodhouse Salvation Army Brass band.
Rev Gough added: “It’s been great fun for all the family.”
