Movie fans young and old flocked to a Sheffield shopping street to enjoy a family-friendly al fresco cinema.
The Moor in Sheffield city centre is the location for Pictures and Picnics - a free event which launched on Saturday and is running throughout this month.
Families took along camping chairs, popcorn and picnic blankets for the showing of the Lego movie and of television programmes - and the sun even stayed out for the duration.
All the films shown on the big screen - just yards from where a nine-screen Light Cinema is expected to open by 2016 - will be rated U.
The screenings are among a range of events arranged to attract customers to the Moor Market, as well as giving shoppers a welcome break from bargain hunting.
Coun Leigh Bramall, cabinet member for business, skills and development, said: “It’s great to see our city centre brought to life with attractions such as this, which also provide a welcome boost for traders both on The Moor and beyond.”
Films on show this Saturday are Despicable Me 2 at 11.30am and Muppets Most Wanted at 2.30pm.
