Schools and businesses from Rotherham will lock oars in a dragon boat race on Sunday to raise money for isolated villages in Nepal.
More than 20 crews will steer brightly-painted Chinese dragon boats across a 200metre course on Manvers Lake, Wath Upon Dearne, starting at 10am.
The event is raising money for Phase Worldwide, a charity that aims to reduce poverty and improve healthcare in remote Himalayan villages.
Sarah Galvin, director of Phase Worldwide, said: “Manvers Lake is a great setting for a family day out. We hope to raise as much money as we can.”
Each crew will consist of 10 paddlers, a drummer and a steering helm.
