A CELEBRATION of Shakespeare created for schools in Rotherham is showcased in a film to be featured at a top arts event in York.

The film will be presented at York Theatre Royal on Tuesday by Victoria Husband, head of drama at Dinnington Comprehensive and Kat Fletcher from the Rotherham-based Open Minds Theatre.

The idea of the festival is that children should experience Shakespeare from an early age, and its success has resulted in it being awarded an Arts Council Artsmark. The event will feature dance, music, poetry and animation from around the region.
