Television show Britain’s Got Talent is coming to Sheffield for the first time as it embarks on its biggest ever audition tour.
An open audition for budding stars will be held at the University of Sheffield Students’ Union, on Western Bank, on Tuesday, December 2, at 12 noon.
It is open to any performer of any age, from any background with any talent - all they need is a skill and star quality which they think will impress.
Anything goes from comedians to contortionists, dancers to drag acts and acrobats to animals.
Executive producer, Amelia Brown, said the show is embarking on its biggest ever audition tour.
She said: “Britain’s Got Talent has an amazing record of celebrating amazing talent and changing people’s lives – from Susan Boyle and Diversity through to Paul Potts, Ashleigh and Pudsey and this year’s winners Collabro.
“They all took a chance and applied for the show and that’s what we want the people to do this year. We can’t wait to see the talent that Sheffield has to offer.”
The judges’ open audition tour will take place next year when they visit larger cities across the UK in 2015.
