A NEW Sheffield festival is aiming to raise charity cash.

Stagecoach Yorkshire has helped boost fundraising for Sheffield Sound with the donation of a batch of Megarider tickets, which will be raffled off at the event.

The two-day music and arts festival is at The Sound Warehouse, Sidney Street, in the city centre, on Friday and Saturday, September 14 and 15.

It will feature 20 local bands, DJs and the work of local artists.

Mike Holmes, from the organising team. said: “We’re pleased to have this support from Stagecoach, as all the donations to the raffle will help us raise funds for charity – Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity and Roundabout.”

Tickets cost £5 for one day or £8 for the weekend and can be bought from Balance, Devonshire Street.
