Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery’s annual Open Art exhibition is underway.
The exhibition, which is now in its 12th year, attracts artwork from artists and makers working locally and across the wider region.
Coun Bob Johnson, Doncaster Council Cabinet Member for Culture said: “This year’s exhibition brings together everything from portraits in oil, to watercolour landscapes and abstract works. On display there is also a life-size figure made entirely from tin cans and a wasp made from copper and brass, and the diverse mix of work. There is sure to be something to suit everyone’s taste.”
This year 180 artists submitted over 400 works to the exhibition with around 250 works being chosen to make up the final display at the exhibition, which runs until December 7.
