A LEADING cancer charity is appealing for help with its annual fundraising campaign.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is on the lookout for volunteers to help with the Great Daffodil Appeal this Spring. Local fundraisers are this year hoping to generate more than 45,000 in South Yorkshire, funding 2,250 hours of nursing care.
Fundraiser Liz Howlett said: "We've got about 100 collections happening in our area during February and March but to get all these collection set up, recruit enough volunteers to staff them all and then get them there on the day takes some organisation - and that's where we need help!
"We're looking for people who think they could organise a collection rota for a supermarket near them, book in volunteer collectors, brief volunteers, distribute daffodils and bank the money afterwards." Call 0114 279 3010.
