It must be one of the smallest pubs for miles…
A tiny former furniture shop has become the latest watering hole for real ale buffs and is barely bigger than a front room.
But the new Chesterfield Alehouse, at 37 West Bars, is going down a treat with drinkers.
The venue has been set up by friends Trevor Maris, Alun Waterhouse and Alun’s wife, Andrea, who are all active on the CAMRA scene. Trevor said: “Our background comes from organising events such as the Market Beer Festival and we were looking for a project.”
■ The pub is open daily from noon until 10pm. Visit www.chesterfieldalehouse.co.uk for more information.
