More celebs sign up for huge charity football match in Sheffield

Even more big names have been added to the star-studded line-up at a celebrity charity football match in Sheffield.

Stars from sport and screen will battle it out to raise money for Sheffield charities at the match on October 18.

World boxing champion Jamie McDonnell is now playing, along with singer Dane Bowers and actor Andrew Ellis, who played Gadget in This Is England 90.

A team of boxing champions will square up against a team of film and television celebrities. Others playing in the star-studded squad include actor Danny Dyer, former Sheffield United player Curtis Woodhouse and former Doncaster Rovers player Jason Price as well as former Sheffield Wednesday player Anthony Gardner.

The teams will be managed by boxing legends Kell Brook and Johnny Nelson.

The match will take place at Hallam FC on Sandygate Road. There will be live music from a host of X Factor stars and children’s entertainment as well as the game.

All money raised will go to the Changing Lives Foundation, Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Weston Park Cancer Hospital.
