Two charity stores are preparing to go head-to-head in a ‘Battleshops’ challenge day.

The battle lines have been drawn-up at the Crookes and Ecclesall Road branches of St Luke’s Hospice charity shops as 16 BT employees get ready to step in to sort the stock, man the tills and raise as much money as possible in just one day.

The team of 16 BT staff, from all over the country, have been collecting stock from colleagues to ensure the shelves at the two stores have some extra special merchandise for the challenge on October 17.

St Luke’s head of retail Paul Summerland, said: “This is an outstanding example of the imaginative ways in which companies can support St Luke’s and make a real difference to the lives of our patients. We look forward to welcoming the two teams to our stores.”
