Wartime community spirit will be brought to life at a celebration in Sheffield.
Kelham Island Museum is hosting its annual 1940s Wartime Weekend and Vintage Fair on Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21.
It will include a Sunday Afternoon Tea Dance with dance lessons for beginners, vintage vehicles, heritage tours of the area and a firing or bomb disposal display.
Niki Connolly, events and marketing manager at Sheffield Industrial Museum’s Trust, said: “Enthusiasm for the event has grown significantly over the past four years and every year we see more and more enthusiasts.”
Sheffield Auction Gallery will value visitors’ collectables.
Guests can also explore vintage market stalls and watch a George Formby impersonator and musicians.
Visitors are encouraged to dress in 1940s style.
The event runs from 11am until 5pm on both days.
Normal museum admission fees apply and the tea dance, from 2pm to 4pm on the Sunday, costs £2 extra.
