Volunteers are needed to help take over the running of a Sheffield library.

The Friends of Ecclesfield Library meet every Wednesday and are working towards charitable status.

The group are developing a business plan so they can take over the running of the library at the start of October.

Rose Tanner, group secretary, said: “We have come a long way in a short time, but need more volunteers at every level. Even offering one hour a month contributing ideas would be helpful, but if you have a business brain and could help with the strategic planning, you would be very welcome.”

The group meets at the library every Wednesday at 5.30pm.
