OLLY Murs may be building up a reputation for hits but he still has all the charm of everyone’s favourite boy-next-door.
On stage at Sheffield City Hall he seemed genuinely amazed by his own success and thoroughly nice.
He won hearts on X Factor in 2009 and, even though he missed out on the top prize, has certainly gone on to live the dream.
The sell-out Sheffield crowd greeted every thrust of his hips with thunderous delight and his banter went down just as well as his songs.
His noisy fans helped him with wolf whistles, got very excited when his jacket came off, then emitted the only boos of the night when the rest of his clothes stayed on.
There were plenty of Olly’s trademark hats in the audience and he even invited a young boy on to the stage to briefly swap and made one fan’s night by handing over his sunglasses.
Olly showed off his moonwalk and beatboxing talents as well as performing a medley of Stevie Wonder songs.
It all ended with Please Don’t Let Me Go – and if the audience had any choice they wouldn’t have.
