X FACTOR star Sophie Habibis, who was voted off TV’s top talent show at the weekend, will launch more than her comeback in Sheffield - she will set off the £20,000 fireworks at After Dark.

The 19-year-old barmaid, who has been entertaining millions on TV, is the special celebrity guest on the Real Radio stage.

She will press the plunger - helped by lucky competition winners - to begin a 20-minute fireworks display, set to music.

She will sing to the 20,000 people expected at Don Valley Grass Bowl, next to Sheffield Motorpoint Arena, at After Dark on Saturday, November 5, 5.30pm to 10pm.

Organiser Scott Barton said: “Real Radio bring the stage and they’ve tied in again with the X Factor, which is great.”

After Dark, featuring a funfair, food stalls, bar and more, is sponsored by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, The Star, Taylors of Harrogate, Sheffield City Council and Supertram. The bonfire is lit at 7pm, fireworks at 8.45pm.

Tickets are £9 for adults (14yrs+) and £4 for children (Under 14), until 4 pm on the event day when ticket prices rise to £10 for adults adults and Children (Under 14) £5.
