IT would be ‘criminal’ to miss a fun night out watching hip-hop rockers The Fun Lovin’ Criminals - and we have tickets to be won for their gig at The Corporation in Milton Street, Sheffield, on Saturday, June 4, 2011.

The Loco hitmakers are best known for Scooby Snacks, featuring Quentin Tarantino film samples.

Their music is a blend of many styles, most notably hip-hop, rock and blues, and their songs deal with everyday life in New York: drugs, organized crime and politics.

In their native US, they are regarded by some to be a one-hit wonder.

However, the band gained a considerable following internationally, notably in northwest Europe, especially around the release of their first two albums in the late 90s.

The band was formed in 1993 by Hugh Morgan (“Huey”, vocals, guitar), Brian Leiser (“Fast”, keyboards, bass, trumpet, harmonica) and Steve Borovini (“O”, drums).

Tickets are £15, may be subject to a booking fee, from the venue in person, call call 0114 276 0262, or outlets including the Arena Ticket Shop, which also sells for 02 Academy Sheffield, The Leadmill, The Plug, Sheffield Student Union and others on 0114 256 5656 and at arenaticketshop.co.uk
