Sledgehammer rock legend Peter Gabriel will perform his iconic So album and other hits in full when he brings his Back To Front tour to Sheffield - we have tickets to be won, writes Graham Walker.
The former Genesis frontman, one of rock’s most ambitious and innovative musicians, is probably best know for his 1986 global hit album So.
It spawned five hit singles, including three huge UK chart hits with Sledgehammer, Don’t Give Up, a duet with Kate Bush and Big Time, plus In Your Eyes and Red Rain.
Now he’s performing that signature album, in full, along with other hits as he celebrates the past and explores the future, on his world tour.
Which means Games Without Frontiers, his huge hit which came earlier in 1978, may feature as it did earlier ion the tour, he told The Star in an exclusive chat, which we will be bringing you soon in full.
“We serve the show up in three parts; like a meal. The starter will be an acoustic bit, almost like we would be in rehearsal mode,” he said.
“From that acoustic starter we move on to the savoury dish, which is electric or more electronic stuff. If you survive that, then you get your dessert, which is the complete and uninterrupted album of ‘So,’ in the order in which it was originally intended.”
