MUSICAL fans have plenty to sing and dance about today - we are giving away signed copies of a new Elaine Paige DVD, writes digital editor Graham Walker.
Elaine Paige - Celebrating a Life on Stage, is out on September 24, capturing the magic in a live show of classic songs and new material, filmed at the State Theatre, Sydney.
And to celebrate we have five signed copies to be won.
The First Lady of British musical theatre takes us on a journey through her illustrious career, from the West End to Broadway, with hits including Memory and Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina.
Many of the songs are recreated in costume here for the first time ever on DVD.
From her beginnings in the musical Hair, Elaine looks stunning and her performance is amazing with first time recordings including, Lennon & McCartney’s Yesterday - her audition song for Evita - Shoot the Breeze, written by Bette Midler and Dustin Hoffman and By The Sea, from Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.
As an added bonus the DVD includes a comprehensive interview, giving the viewer an insight into this fascinating woman of modern musical theatre.
