Chart-toppers Deacon Blue, whose 80’s and 90s hits included Dignity and Real Gone Kid, are back with a new album and tour -we’ve got tickets and CDs to be won.

A New House, which smashed into the top 20 last month, features 11 new tracks.

They are playing songs from it and greatest hits on a tour which brings them to Sheffield City Hall on Monday, December 8, 7.30pm.

Formed in Glasgow in 1985, Deacon Blue went on to become one of the city’s most famous and successful bands.

From debut album Raintown and follow-up, the chart-topping When The World Knows Your Name, through to 2012’s top 20 hit The Hipsters, Deacon Blue are consistently one of the most respected and critically received bands of their generation.

They have sold over six million albums, notched up 12 UK Top 40 singles and two UK Number One albums.

Deacon Blue are also one of the most passionate live bands around.

Singer Ricky Ross said: “I am more excited about this new album than any record we’ve made up until now. It’s going to be great to perform live. As well as that, we have a huge catalogue of songs from our other records we will want to play…don’t expect to go home too early!”
