Three top British artists have announced gigs in Sheffield this week.

Lily Allen, Embrace and Example have all annouced autumn UK tours, including dates at the city’s O2 Academy.

Justin Smith, general manager of the venue, said: “The public of Sheffield have been very supportive of our events with recent sell outs including Blondie, The 1975 and London Grammar among many others.

“These shows have really put the city back on the map for bigger bands.

“We have been working hard at O2 Academy Sheffield to bring more shows with high-profile artists back to the city, so are delighted to announce such great gigs for autumn.”

Singer-songwriter Example is heading on tour ahead of the release of single 10 Million People and arrives at the Arundel Gate venue on Saturday, November 8.

Lily Allen plays on Sunday, November 23, while Embrace play on Saturday, December 6.

Tickets for all three gigs go on sale tomorrow morning.
