SUMMER may be a few months off but tickets are on sale for this year’s Music In The Gardens shows in Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens.
Rotary clubs of Sheffield, Vulcan, Hallam and Wortley, have booked jazz star Courtney Pine and local legend Paul Carrack alongside old favourites The Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra and the Keith Peters Big Band.
The concerts raise thousands of pounds for charities and this year begins on June 29 with Big Band Night.
Former Squeeze and Mike and The Mechanics frontman turned solo star Paul Carrack performs the following night.
The Friday is headlined by Courtney Pine, while the series closes on July 2 with The Sheffield Philharmonic.
Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, Help For Heroes and Shelterbox are the big four charities selected to benefit from the event.
Tickets are available at www.musicinthegardens.co.uk now and from the Sheffield box office from March 22. They cost £8 to £14 in advance and more on the gates.
