SHEFFIELD’s Harmony Chorus was well represented at a singing workshop - with 37 women from Sheffield travelling to Stockport to take part.
They were among a class of 750 women coached at the Ignite Workshop by top international performance and musical coach and competition judge, Gail Jencik.
Elaine Carter, a bass singer with Harmony, who arranged the trip, said: “This was a brilliant chance to be coached by such an expert.
“It was a great opportunity to spend time working together and to work with other chorus members from other areas. You always learn so much from each other and it’s good to hear praise from your peers – it means a lot.”
Barry Clinton, chorus director, said: “Gail made lots of positive comments about the quality of our singing – especially our ability to sing quietly with quality, which many choruses find difficult.”
