I Love To Boogie - 40 years anniversary tour with T.rextasy, The Winding Wheel, Chesterfield
This tribute to legendary 1970s band T.Rex is celebrating 40 years since the release of the group’s iconic song I Love To Boogie.
Marc Bolan and his band T.Rex were among the most flamboyant and charismatic stars of the original Glam Rock era.
Bolan’s rock-a-boogie songs were a hit throughout the 1970s including Ride a White Swan, Hot Love, Get It On, Telegram Sam and Jeepster before I Love to Boogie became one of T.Rex’s best-loved records.
Tribute act T.Rextasy have been performing around the world for more than 20 years, a career that outlives Bolan’s T.Rex.
The singer died in a car crash in 1977, two weeks before his 30th birthday.
The band is now accepted as the ‘official’ live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only act endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family estate, original ex-members of T.Rex and Bolan’s catalogue management.
The band has been described as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute’ and play all the music, with no backing tracks.
The show is a rock’n’roll concert for all the family.
If you would like to know exactly what a Marc Bolan concert was like in the 1970s, this show is for you.
The 40th Anniversary Tour of I Love to Boogie is showing at The Winding Wheel in Chesterfield this Friday, April 22.
