One of Britain’s biggest guitar bands to breakthrough in recent times have announced a trio of summer gigs – including an outdoor show in Sheffield.

After headlining the main stage at the city’s annual Tramlines music festival last July, Catfish and the Bottlemen are returning almost exactly 12 months later to perform at Don Valley Bowl.

A band spokesman said the Welsh rockers will “deliver an epic set of songs including smashes from last year’s number-one album The Ride, as well as favourites Cocoon and Kathleen from their 2014 Platinum debut album, The Balcony”.

The spokesman said: “Currently busy touring South America, the band will head out across the Atlantic shortly after their summer run of UK dates to embark on a two-month stadium tour of the USA with San Francisco rock legends Green Day.”

Tickets for the show at Don Valley Bowl on Friday, July 14, are now on sale from catfishandthebottlemen.com
