Sheffield musician hits the right note

A YOUNG euphonium player has hit the right note and been selected to join the National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain.

Daniel Morris, aged 12, who attends Eckington School, will join the band for a residential course in Derbyshire.

The band takes young brass players between the ages of eight and 14 and this year marks its 10th anniversary.

Daniel is a member of the Senior Wind Band at North East Derbyshire Music Centre and Woodhouse and Oughtbridge Brass Bands in Sheffield.

He has been playing since 2007.
