The future of a popular Sheffield music festival has been secured thanks to a new sponsorship deal.

Whitehornes estate agent has signed a two-year deal to sponsor Mosborough Music Festival.

Steve Cowens, festival organiser, said: “I’ve been trying to source a local forward-thinking company to get involved in the festival and Whitehornes tick all the boxes. They are a successful and community-spirited company. I can’t thank them enough for their help.”

Ian Whitehorne, Whitehorne’s managing director, said: “Sheffield has a long and proud musical heritage and this festival is a great showpiece, not just for the headliners but also for up -and-coming bands.”

This year’s festival, at the former Westfield School site, will take place on Saturday, June 6, featuring acts including The Selecter, Doctor and the Medics and Chris Helme, as well as Sheffield bands The Sherlocks, The SSS and The Carousel.
