The Stone Roses are heading for Sheffield’s Tramlines festival - in cinematic form.

A new documentary called Made Of Stone, charting the legendary band’s reunion, is being screened at the O2 Academy on Arundel Gate on the event’s opening night, Friday, July 19.

The showing will be followed by an after-party featuring DJ sets by Dave Haslam, who was a regular at Manchester’s old Hacienda nightclub, and by cult dance group 808 State, alongside a cocktail bar and ‘psychedelic visuals’.

Made Of Stone was directed by This Is England creator Shane Meadows, and the film night marks the first ever collaboration between Tramlines and Sheffield-based production company Warp Films.

The film starts at 10pm and admission is by festival wristband only.

Day tickets cost £6, and weekend tickets cost £15, plus booking fee. Visit http://2013.tramlines.org.uk/tickets to buy a wristband.
