It was a really good night at the Railway Hotel, and we witnessed a remarkable singing on stage debut, from a young lady called Daisy.
She sang the Etta James song All I could do was cry, without any backing music, and the sheer power and emotion in her voice, made the hairs on my arms stand up. The audience gasped after the song when they learned she is just fourteen years old. She is definitely a ‘star in the making’. If any fans of music would like to catch this young performer, she will be singing a couple of songs at a fund raising night for the Women of Steel memorial fund, at Woodseats W.M.C. The Dale, Woodseats, on Saturday, February 22.
