REVIEW: Fade2Black, New Barrack Tavern.

FADE2Black signed off a busy year in style when they played their own brand of hard hitting blues to this packed venue - sadly their last gig in Sheffield before bass guitarist Andy Smith and drummer Steve Palin jet off for South East Asia and Australia.

The good news is...they return in the new year.

An appreciative crowd were mesmerised by the sublime lead guitar of Richard Warr and the sultry vocals and guitar of Amelia Carter as F2B pounded their way through blues classics.

They band have appeared at Sheffield's Art In The Gardens and Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham in a touring schedule to promote their latest CD In Flagrante Delicto.

And in Hillsborough from the opening notes of Get Over It they produced another faultless performance through to the final encore of Bye Bye Baby, accompanied by excellent audience participation orchestrated by Amelia who, by this time, had them at her command.

Steve and Andy provided the platform for Richard and Amelia to take everyone into blues heaven. By the end the throng were on their feet demanding more.

Make sure you don't miss them when they return to 2011.
