Record Store Day, the eighth annual celebration of record collectors and vinyl junkies is this Saturday, April 18, where people will be queuing across the UK in the hope of getting hold of a coveted release.

More than 200 UK record shops are taking part in the same week that soaring sales of vinyl records over the last few years led to the launch of an official weekly vinyl chart last Sunday

More than one million vinyl records were sold in the UK in 2014 - the first time the milestone has been achieved since 1996.
