Live local bands will be entertaining crowds in a High Green pub car park on Sunday.

The Market Inn on Wortley Road is hosting a charity day, with proceeds going to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Bands include Jackson Kay, DT Cartels, Phil Steel Duo, Sloe Gin and Dirty Den and the Riff Raffs, who are getting back together especially for the occasion.

There will also be children’s activities, including a bouncy castle and face painting, as well as raffle and an auction.

Organiser Glen Lakin said: “I’ve got five kids, and have always donated toys to the charity. My youngest was in there and they were great, she was straight in, so I wanted to support them.”

The event is free , with donations going to the Children’s, and runs from 2pm to 8pm.
