SOME of EastEnders’ former favourites are among the cast list bound for Chesterfield’s Theatres in the new season.
Sheffielder Ian Reddington, Ace Bhatti and Don Gilet – all from different eras of the Albert Square continuing drama - star in John Godber’s Bouncers, at The Pomegranate from November 6.
And there’s also a soap star feel to The Vagina Monologues, which finds the same venue on September 28. Corrie stalwart Vicky Entwhistle joins Strictly finalist and Waterloo Road star Chelsee Healey and Clare Buckfield (Two Point For Children) in a return of this feisty show.
Plenty of other highlights fill the new season with Hull Truck’s Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde landing on September 19 while Junk’s performing arts mash-up is at The Winding Wheel on October 3.
The enduring Blood Brothers lands on Holywell Street on October 8 with Niki Evans back as Mrs Johnstone and Annie The Musical arrives on October 22.
There’s comedy from Jason Byrne (Pomegranate, Oct 20), Roy Chubby Brown (Oct 26) and Jeremy Hardy (Pomegranate, Nov 2), and Moscow Ballet’s glorious take on the Nutcracker, at the Pomegranate (Oct 29).
