Doncaster signing sensation Louis Tomlinson could be set to sing on England’s official World Cup 2014 song.
One Direction are the bookies’ favourite to sing the musical accompaniment for Roy Hodgson’s boys’ campaign in Brazil. The band who catapulted to fame after appearing on the X Factor have been priced at 10-1 with betting company Coral.
Peter Kay, Olly Murs and James Corden are also in the running.
England have not had an official World Cup song since 2006.
The boys would follow in the footsteps of ‘Back Home’ in 1970, New Order’s ‘World in Motion’ in 1990 and the Lightning Seeds’ ‘Three Lions’ in 1996.
Louis and his bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne are currently touring in Australia.
And as Louis’ career continues to soar there are also exciting developments in his personal life.
The star’s midwife mum Johannah Poulston and new partner Daniel Deakin are reportedly expecting twins.
According to reports, the singer’s new brothers or sisters are due in the late spring or early summer.
The Besscarr boyband sensation, aged 21, already has four younger sisters.
