More than 50 new acts have been added to the bill for this year’s Tramlines Festival, completing its 2014 lineup.

The new acts include Polkadodge, Allusondrugs, The Spills and Blossoms, representing ‘some of the UK’s hottest breakthrough acts’ chosen by festival headliners and music experts.

Bands Galaxians, The Beat and Rolo Tomassi as well as Black Mesa, Braver Than Fiction, The Crookes, Lulu James, Whilst, Sam Vandal and Jolta will also line up alongside the likes of Katy B, Public Enemy, Sister Sledge and Annie Mac.

The festival invited new, unsigned acts to play at this year’s event, and more than 1,500 bands applied.

Chosen by Toddla T, hip-hop group Dnaë will join The Indigo Sound Projects on the main stage on July 26, while Wakefield rock-pop four-piece The Spills will play at The Leadmill on July 27.

Polkadodge will also play at The Leadmill while will host at Queens Social Club on Sunday night, bringing its DJ team and bands Veronica Falls and Galaxians to the venue.

Corporation will host Funeral For A Friend, mathcore band Rolo Tomassi and London-based group Three Trapped Tigers.
