RELEASE Me superstar Engelbert Humperdinck would be saving The Last Waltz for you – we’re giving you the chance to meet him.
One lucky Star reader and a guest will get a pair of tickets and greet him backstage at Sheffield City Hall on Saturday, November 5.
He has one of the strongest and most enduring voices in the business, having sold 150 million albums worldwide.
Now the man who conquered Las Vegas is coming home with a series of concerts across the UK.
In his 75th year, Engelbert Humperdinck, whose name comes from the 1911 Austrian composer who wrote Hansel & Gretel, is an artist who not only shows little sign of slowing down, but is always looking forward and discovering new avenues that keep him current, introducing himself to a whole new generation of fans. He will be performing all the classics including Quando-Quando-Quando, Am I That Easy To Forget, There Goes My Everything, Les Bicyclettes De Belsize and A Man Without Love, as well as songs from his highly anticipated new album Released.
And of course he’ll be singing Release Me and The Last Waltz. “I couldn’t do a show without them,’’ he told The Star, in an exclusive interview – coming soon. Tickets are from £33.50, may be subject to a booking fee. Buy in person, call 0114 2789 789 or go online at sheffieldcityhall.co.uk
