Sheffield alternative pop pairing Low Duo are hosting this evening, run along the same lines as the long-running TV show.

Low Duo and their guests, David J Roch, See Emily Play and Pete David, will draw names from a hat to decide the running order and will perform two songs at a time each at the popular Sheffield music pub.

David J Roch is currently at number 37 in the USA ‘alternative’ charts on iTunes and was described by The Independent as “a jaw-dropping talent”.

Low Duo say: “ David is a great songwriter and one of the best vocalists we’ve heard.

“He’s also an undertaker. So he’s almost as miserable as us. “

See Emily Play is a young singer,Emily Ireland, who has been described as “a Kate Bush in waiting” by Glenn Gregory of Heaven 17.

Pete David is the singer in hugely popular Americana band The Payroll Union and recently played to thousands at Sheffield’s Music in the Gardens event.

Low Duo say: “We’ll be bringing our unique brand of alt-folk-punk along for the ride and we’re getting very excited.

“We want to pack The Greystones to its very rafters.

“And with such a stellar line-up, we’re sure that’s going to be the case.”
