GUITAR man Bryan Adams will rock Sheffield Motorpoint Arena with a special anniversary show and YOU could be celebrating with tickets to be won.
He’s bringing his Waking Up The Neighbours 20th Anniversary Tour to the venue to celebrate the anniversary of the rock album.
It ends a year of personal celebrations for Adams, whose girlfriend Alicia Grimaldi gave birth in April to their daughter, Mirabella Bunny.
The concert also marks 20-years of music at the Arena.
Since its release in 1991, the three times platinum album Waking Up The Neighbours has sold 16 million copies worldwide, reaching number one in eight countries.
It spawned huge hits such as Can’t Stop This Thing We Started, There Will Never Be Another Tonight and the massive chart-topping (Everything I do) I Do It For You – the theme from the Kevin Costner and Alan Rickman blockbuster, Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves,
The song, which has become a signature tune for Adams, remained at the number one spot in the UK for 16 consecutive weeks – the longest in UK chart history.
It also topped the charts in numerous other countries around the world including the US, France, Australia and Germany.
His Arena show will also honour his endless catalogue of hits such as Cuts Like A Knife, Summer of ’69, Heaven, Run To You and, co-written with Sheffield’s own Eliot Kennedy, When You’re Gone and Back To You.
The tour, featuring Adams and his full band, will visit 12 UK cities and comes to Sheffield on Thursday, December 1.
It follows the phenomenal success of his Bare Bones solo-acoustic tour last year.
As Canada’s best known ambassador, Bryan Adams has spent the last three decades making music history.
He has sold more than 65 million records, toured six continents and achieved number one status in over 40 countries around the world.
He has been nominated for and won several Academy Awards, Golden Globes, Grammys and many other honours.
The 51-year-old, ranked 38 on the list of All-Time top artists by the Billboard Hot 100 50th Anniversary Charts, was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with the 2,435th star in March.
He received the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award last year for his part in numerous charitable concerts and campaigns during his career,
