Jean Martyn, Markham Hall, Staveley
The Britain’s Got Talent finalist, who won the nation’s hearts with her lively keyboard playing style, visits Chesterfield tonight.
Jean’s bubbly personality helped her to sail through the Britain’s Got Talent audition process two years ago.
Then by popular demand she was voted by the public and judges into the finals, where she had everyone dancing along with her infectious performance.
When she appeared on the Britain’s Got More Talent spin-off show, she won support of celebrity guests Peter Andre, Stacey Solomon and Louis Walsh, who all tipped her to win.
Jean was also a big hit when she appeared on the Britain’s Got Talent national tour, which called into the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.
She plays in boogie woogie, classical, jazz and popular styles and can turn her hand to lots of different keyboards, from the piano to the Wurlitzer organ.
Tonight Jean is the guest of North East Derbyshire Organ Society.
The concert starts at 8pm and doors open at 7.15 pm.
Admission costs £5 and £4 for members. Accompanied children are free.
Refreshments and a licensed bar are available.
