He’s one of the biggest-selling artists of all-time. He’s sold more than one millionrecords and he’s still going strong.

Yes, Rod Stewart’s back.

And this time, he’s touring following the release of his latest album, Time.

But while the tour – known as Live the Life – is pinned on the latest album, it’s peppered with Stewart’s hits over the past five decades.

Such hits span a career that started with the Faces and the Jeff Beck group and progressed to a solo career with some of the most popular tracks in rock and pop history.

These tracks include Maggie May, Do Ya Think I’m Sexy? and Tom Waits’ Downtown Train.

Stewart – who’s won a Grammy Award and is a two-time nominee to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – is also celebrating the release of his autobiography, Rod – the Autobiography.

The book takes a candid look at Stewart’s lengthy career that so far includes 61 hit singles, 31 top 10 hits and six Number Ones.

It’s also a career that’s still going strong and selling out arenas across the country.

Stewart said: “I cannot wait to get back on the road again, especially in the UK where the fans always make it a very special occasion for me. The tour is going to be fantastic!”

The singer believes that now his voice is stronger than ever, in spite of suffering from throat cancer in 2000.

Yet, while Stewart’s prolific output remains uncontested, he never claimed to be a strong singer-songwriter. Stewart admitted that he always left that part of the process until the last minute.

But his perceived rushed song writing hasn’t done him any harm. Indeed, Stewart’s repertoire will attract masses of fans at the Motorpoint Arena this Sunday.

Tickets for Rod Stewart’s Live The Life Tour at Motorpoint Arena Sheffield are priced £60, £65 & £70 (subject to booking fee).
