AIR cadets helped to ensure a charity concert in Sheffield was a soaring success.

Worrall Male Voice Choir arranged the event at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield city centre, which featured performances by the Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir and New Mill Voice Choir.

And members of 370 Squadron North Sheffield Air Training Corps were on hand to ensure the event, in aid of Help for Heroes, ran smoothly.

Rachael Parkes, training officer at the squadron, which meets every Tuesday and Thursday in Southey Green, said: “Our cadets were put to work selling merchandise and helping people to their seats, and they also took part in a parade at the end of the evening. It was a great honour to be asked to attend and staff and cadets were proud to be there.”
