Sheffield Bowling for Soup fans are steeling themselves.
This may be the last time they see their heroes in the flesh in this city as the US band tours the UK for the last time.
Barring any change of heart and a future reunion tour the band are adamant that this will be among their last dates in this country.
Jaret Reddick outlined the band’s position: “The UK has given us everything, so I’m being honest about our reasons. We still love being Bowling For Soup but touring does begin to take its toll on both you and your family after a while.”
The band have stressed they’re not splitting up but there are no plans for a farewell US tour.
Bowling For Soup have plans for two new albums to be recorded in early 2014 – a covers album and a rerecorded greatest hits album preceding the band’s 20th anniversary in June 2014. Bowling For Soup will play O2 Academy, Sheffield on Thursday, October 17.
