Preparations are under way for the annual Firth Park Festival to be held later this month in Sheffield.

Organisers hope to attract bumper crowds – around 2,000 went last year.

The festival on June 29 will run from 11am until 4pm and among the activities planned are circus workshops.

There will also be a bungee run, giant slide, funfair rides and performances from bands and musicians.

The Glee Baa Gum choir is due to perform and there will be street dancing displays from the Bushes Busy Kids Club and Romany dancing from the Romano Jilo Dance Group.

There will also be maypole dancing, food stalls and the chance to talk to local councillors about issues in the area.
