Duran Duran postpone Sheffield gig

DURAN Duran have postponed their planned return to Sheffield after singer Simon Le Bon was struck down by illness.

Their Motorpoint Arena show on Saturday is one of several UK dates being rescheduled following a vocal coach and ENT specialists ordering the frontman to rest while his laryngeal problems are treated.

Fans should hold on to their tickets ahead of news of the rescheduled dates in the next few days.

“I was really hoping things would have improved enough by today to have allowed us to continue with the tour,” said Simon.

“Having spent two hours with one of the specialists, I have been advised I need to hold off for about another week. I know how difficult this has been for fans as we’ve been postponing shows with very little notice in the hope each day the improvement would have been significant enough for me to sing again without risking long-term damage.”
