A 180-STRONG South Yorkshire choir treated staff, family and friends to a musical treat as students celebrated another successful year with a carol service.

Trinity Academy, Thorne, echoed to music, song, and readings at the eighth annual carol service.

Ian Brew, principal, welcomed guests before Trinity Singers opened with a rendition of Adiemus.

There were also carols, readings and a Christmas medley from the wind band.

Students and staff performed a nativity, the Boys Singing Group performed and Mr Brew addressed the audience.

He said: “Our children are unique and precious beyond belief; each one is special.

“This concert encapsulates what makes this school excellent.”
